VP, Head of Marketing
We're looking for our first VP of Marketing - the person who will own and build the future of Marketing at Another Nine. You'll set strategy, continue to build the team, and drive execution across every channel — for our company-owned locations, our rapidly expanding network of franchise locations, and the brand nationally. This is a zero-to-one opportunity.
This role is equal parts strategist, operator, and franchise partner. You could start your day on PR strategy, present a national campaign concept in the morning, troubleshoot a franchisee's grand opening plan over lunch, oversee content development in the afternoon, and analyze national performance to wrap your day. Another Nine is the ideal indoor golf experience. Founded in Cincinnati in 2023, we built the city's first and only 24/7 indoor golf destination with all private simulator suites. Today, we're expanding nationally through company-owned and franchised locations — with 50+ franchise territories in development nationally and a rich development pipeline behind it.

Brand Strategy and Execution — Own Another Nine's brand positioning, voice, and creative direction across all channels and markets
Franchise Marketing — Build the marketing playbook, launch toolkits, and ongoing support infrastructure that empowers franchise partners to market effectively in their local markets
National and Local Campaigns — Design and deploy local and national campaigns that drive awareness, trial, conversion, and repeat across all A9 locations. Plus, you'll tell our story to prospective franchisees to fuel future franchise growth
Social Media and Content — Own our social media presence and content strategy, working with internal and external content, agency, and technology partners.
Email Marketing and Integrated CRM — Design and implement automated customer journeys, lifecycle campaigns, and retention programs through our integrated CRM
Team Leadership — Manage and develop our growing marketing team, and find and hire the right people for the right roles to build your organization
Brand Fund Execution — Manage the allocation and ROI of franchise brand fund marketing spend across the entire network
New Revenue Creation — Launch new verticals within your function to drive new revenue streams for HQ and Franchisees
Performance and Analytics — Define and Own Marketing OKRs, build reporting frameworks, and connect marketing activity to business outcomes
Cross-Functional Leadership — Partner closely with franchise development, operations, real estate, and technology to align marketing with business priorities
The Ideal Candidates Have:
6-8+ years of progressive marketing experience with increasing scope and leadership responsibilities
Diverse marketing background across disciplines - digital, social, print, retail, B2B/B2C
Demonstrated experience building marketing programs, teams, and functions
Experience with centralized, multi-location marketing - multi-unit brands, agency-side work for distributed clients, or national/global franchise systems.
Strategic thinking paired with hands-on execution ability - it's a startup, you'll need to be a player coach. You can set the vision but also do the work when you need to.
Strong brand instincts - you understand how to build a premium, experiential brand that resonates with guests and franchise partners alike.
Experience managing marketing budgets and tying activation to measurable business outcomes
Fluency with modern marketing tools and platforms (Meta, Google, Klaviyo, Analytics, Social Scheduling, Creative Tools, etc.)
Comfort with ambiguity and rapid pace of an early-stage company - you'll be supported but don't need a playbook because you're the one writing it.
High EQ, executive presence, and relational skills - you'll be a trusted partner to franchise owners who are investing their savings into a location; we deliver what we promise.
Competency and enthusiasm for emerging marketing technologies
Bonus Points Are Awarded For:
Direct franchise marketing experience (brand fund management, brand management, co-op advertising, local-level marketing)
Advanced degree in Marketing, or similar field
Experience in golf, entertainment, fitness, or hospitality industries
Experience with high-growth company experiencing rapid scale
An interest and passion (but not necessarily skill) for the game of golf
$125,000 - $150,000 annually in base compensation, dependent on experience

Location: Cincinnati/NKY preferred. This is a hybrid position with an expected 2-3 days at our HQ in Covington, KY
Reporting: this position reports to our Co-Founder and CEO
Travel Expectations: Periodic travel to franchise markets, trade shows, events, etc.
